Portsmouth ladies head coach Vanessa Raynbird says promotion to the FA Women's Premier League is her side's main target this season.
Pompey are currently third in the Women's Premier League South Division, one place below automatic promotion.
Raynbird told BBC Solent: "This is our big chance. Promotion is our main aim and we're in a good position for that.
"We just need to focus and get ourselves in the top two by the end of the season."
Pompey ended last term in fourth place and Raynbird says this season is the first time automatic promotion has been offered to two teams in the South division.
"It's very rare more than one team get promoted out of our division but this season for one time only, they'll be two teams going up to the Premier League.
"So every game is important to us, we're out to win everything we can in everything we play in," she added.
Portsmouth host Premier League leaders Sunderland this weekend in the quarter-finals of the Premier League Cup and Raynbird says her side are looking forward to the fixture.
"We enjoy the cup games because they're competitive games and there's something to win at the end of it.
"We want to win and we always go out to achieve as much as we can in football and and we'll be doing no different this weekend against Sunderland.
"They are the top team in the top division in the country so they are the team to beat."
Portsmouth Ladies versus Sunderland kicks off at 1300 on Sunday 19 December at Money FieldsFootball Club.
