Sue Smith has won 87 international caps with England
Lincoln Ladies have signed England and Leeds Carnegie forward Sue Smith for their inaugural FA Women's Super League campaign which begins next March.
Smith, 30, has made 87 international appearances scoring 14 goals.
Lady Imps manager Rod Wilson told BBC Lincolnshire: "Sue is probably the most famous player in England and a very experienced international.
"She had offers from clubs bigger than us but she's seen we have a bright future and has bought into the dream."
Smith is the third Leeds Carnegie player to join the Lady Imps this week, following the signings of winger Jess Clarke and under-23 defender Sophie Bradley.
