Lincoln Ladies winger Stacey Aisthorpe has been called up to the Great Britain women's football squad at the World University Games in Belgrade.
Aisthorpe received the call-up just days before the start of the tournament because of injuries in the squad.
She told BBC Radio Lincolnshire: "I missed the trials as I was playing in a tournament with Lincoln.
"I thought I'd missed my opportunity but I'm over the moon. It doesn't get much better than this."
The 25th Universiade officially begins in Belgrade, Serbia on Tuesday 1 July, with the football tournament starting the day before.
