Laxey beat seeded Peel 2-0 at the National Sports Centre on Sunday in one of the biggest shocks in the Sure Mobile Women's Floodlit Cup.

Christina Sutton scored in the first half with Kelly Barlow netting their second just before the final whistle.

The result sees the Miners move above Peel into second place, three points behind unbeaten Corinthians.

The other match in Group A between Colby and Ramsey was postponed as the latter were unable to field a team.

The match between Gymnasium and Corinthians in the Sure Mobile Women's League was also postponed due to bad weather.
