Lincoln Ladies took all three points against Reading after beating them 1-0 at home on Sunday.

Carla Ward scored the only goal of the game in the 76th minute, to ensure that the Lady Imps remain top of the Northern Division table.

Manager Rod Wilson said: "I have to be pleased with the way the girls ground out a result for us."

Lincoln take on Sunderland next Sunday, who are one point behind them, but have two games in hand.

Wilson said: "If we are to beat a very good Sunderland outfit again, we will have to be at our best - we have absolutely everything to play for when we travel there."
