Northern Division Lincoln City produced a massive FA Women's Cup shock with a 3-2 extra time win in a quarter-finals tie against top flight Blackburn.

Two-goal Kerry Smith hit the winning goal to put the Imps into the semis for the first time in the club's history.

The other three quarter-finals scheduled for this weekend were all postponed due to international calls and will now be played next Sunday.

The draw for the semis means Lincoln will meet Arsenal or Birmingham.

Striker Jodie Snelson, a hat-trick scorer in Lincoln's fifth round win against Portsmouth, squandered an easy chance to give her team an early lead.

At the other end Katie Anderton made no mistake in the 27th minute, drilling an angled drive past former Rovers goalkeeper Kay Hawke and into the far corner of the net.

But midfielder Megan Harris headed the Imps level seven minutes after the interval, then left winger Smith glanced in a 74th-minute header to put the home side in front.

A Lincoln victory was looming when, two minutes from time, striker Anderton chased a long ball out of defence to fire her second goal.

But after Harris had volleyed home her second in the 98th minute, the Imps were not to be denied and held on for a famous victory.

Lincoln City v Arsenal or Birmingham City

Newcastle United or Everton v Cardiff City or Leeds United

Ties to be played on Sunday 9 March.

Women's Premier League

There were no top flight or Northern Division games this weekend, but Fulham continued their bid to bounce back from the Southern Division with a 6-1 win at Newquay.

Victory kept the table-topping Cottagers - relegated last season - eight points clear of second-placed Barnet, who won 5-1 against Team Bath.
