York City's all-time leading goalscorer Norman Wilkinson has died, aged 79.
Wilkinson played for the Minstermen for 12 years between 1954 and 1966, scoring 143 goals in 401 games and playing in two promotion-winning campaigns.
He was also the youngest member of the "Happy Wanderers" side that reached the 1955 FA Cup semi-final, scoring twice in the fifth round win over Spurs.
The club will pay tribute with a minute's silence before Tuesday night's game with AFC Wimbledon.
