Martin Foyle has led York to two Wembley appearances in two seasons
York City manager Martin Foyle has completed his 22-man squad for the new Blue Square Bet Premier season.
Foyle's final additions were former Kidderminster winger David McDermott and Histon goalkeeper David Knight, who has joined on loan for the season.
The manager plans to allow some members of the squad to go out on loan in a bid to keep them match sharp.
"If I've got 18, 19 players, I will work with that, we've used the loan system wisely," he told BBC Radio York.
Knight's arrival is to keep up the pressure on first-choice keeper Michael Ingham.
There's a good, healthy competition for places

Centre-backs David McGurk, Djoumin Sangare and Daniel Parslow will have Greg Young competing for a place, when he recovers from a heel injury.
"I feel desperately sorry for him, he's had a freak injury where he stepped on a stone," Foyle added.
New signing Duane Courtney replaces Ben Purkiss at right-back, with the much-improved James Meredith established at left-back.
In midfield, Neil Barrett, Levi Mackin, Chris Carruthers and Alex Lawless will face stiff competition from new arrivals Peter Till, Jonathan Smith and McDermott.
Top scorer Richard Brodie was partnered by Michael Rankine for much of last season. Michael Gash suffered injury problems and will want his place back, while new signing George Purcell will also push for a place.
That leaves Dean Lisles, Jamie Hopcutt and Andy McWilliams, who may have to bide their time.
"North Ferriby want Jamie Hopcutt for three months," added Foyle. "Andy McWilliams has asked to go out on loan so I've got to try and find him something.
"You can see there's a good, healthy competition for places."
