York have appointed Colin Walker as their new manager on a permanent basis. City's former assistant boss has been given the manager's job after a successful spell as caretaker since the sacking of Billy McEwan in November.
Former Barnsley and New Zealand striker Walker, 49, has guided York to five wins and a draw in his first six games.
"The players always looked fantastic on paper. Now we are seeing them playing as a true team," said York's director of communications Sophie McGill.
"We think that's down to Colin Walker over the last few weeks."
