Yeovil keeper John Sullivan targets first team run
Sullivan's month-long loan deal at Huish Park could be extended
Yeovil's new keeper John Sullivan says he is looking forward to some regular games having spent a lot of time on the bench at his previous clubs.
Sullivan arrived at Huish Park last week on a month's loan from Millwall having previously played for Brighton.
"I've had a taste of first team football and I want to get that back," the 22-year-old told BBC Somerset.
"I've missed playing at three o'clock on a Saturday. To train hard all week and miss out is quite heart-breaking."
Sullivan continued: "This will be the first time I've started the first game of the season so I'm very excited.
"A couple of years ago I got into team at Brighton and I thought personally I was unfortunate to lose out and go back on the bench there.
"Obviously last year at Millwall I could have no complaints as the keeper David Ford at a fantastic season."
The Glovers' new number one has been impressed by the set-up at the Yeovil.
"It's a great little family club. Every time I've come here before with other teams all the lads have said what a good club it is.
"As soon as you turn up on a match day the fans are enthusiastic and there's a good feel about the place," added Sullivan.
"The gaffer [Terry Skiverton] I think is tremendous. He's very enthusiastic about the game being a young manager and there are a lot out there that aren't.
"We've got a real good chance to surprise a few people this season."
