Somerset Rebels sign Poole Pirates rider Kyle Howarth

Howarth recently came third in the British U18 Championship

Somerset Rebels have signed 16-year-old British rider Kyle Howarth as one of their two reserve riders.

Howarth replaces Australian Jake Andersen and has made a number of guest appearances for the Rebels this season.

"Speedway is a cruel sport and as we are starting to look ahead towards next year we have decided to let Jake go," said Rebels co-promoter Debbie Hancock.

Howarth who recently came third in the British U-18 Championship joins on loan from Elite League side Poole Pirates.

The up and coming rider will make his Somerset debut in Sunday's Premier League match at Newport before lining up for the Rebels in their home encounter against Glasgow the following evening.
