Trialist Craig Calver has signed a one-year deal with Yeovil Town.
The 19-year-old Cambridge-born striker has impressed Glovers boss Terry Skiverton in pre-season.
Calver, a product of the Ipswich Town youth scheme, left Portman Road for Southend United in March 2009, having not figured in any first-team games.
At Southend, the teenager scored 23 goals for the under-18s and enjoyed successful loan spells with St Albans City, Braintree Town and AFC Sudbury.
