Yeovil chairman John Fry has praised player-manager Terry Skiverton and player-coach Nathan Jones for steering the club to League One safety.

The pair took charge in February after the departure of Russell Slade and guided Town to a 17th-placed finish.

"Terry and Nathan have created a very positive atmosphere around the club and we are excited about out future prospects," Fry told the club website.

"Their hard work ensured the club retained its League One status."

He added: "They approached their task with immense enthusiasm and professionalism."

Skiverton and Jones oversaw three wins and six draws in 15 league games in charge at Huish Park.

The Glovers finished two points above the relegation zone but Fry is optimistic about their chances for next season.

"Although at an early stage, season ticket sales have been very encouraging and are well ahead of the same point last year," he said.

"With a young and enthusiastic management team looking to bring entertaining and attractive football to Huish Park we are confident we can make a good impression in what will be an extremely competitive league."
