Yeovil Town have announced a pre-tax profit of £28,000 for the year ending 30 June 2008.
However profits were down by £85,000 on 2007 because of the expansion of the community initiatives and creation of the centre of excellence.
Since then trading conditions have become more difficult for many clubs.
"We have been conducting a review to identify where we can reduce costs but protect the football budget," said chief executive Martyn Starnes.
"The relatively strong position that we held before the recession will enable us to continue the club's development despite the difficult economic situation," he added.
