Manager Russell Slade has praised new signing Andy Welsh's performance on his debut for Yeovil Town in Saturday's 3-0 defeat away at MK Dons.
The 24-year-old, who was a free agent, only signed the day before the game.
"I thought he did great, he started well and looked lively in the first 15 minutes," Slade told BBC Somerset.
"I think the fans are going to like him, he'll get better - he's not played much football, that's his first game for us other than a reserve game."
The Glovers have had a mixed start to the season, picking up only five points in their opening five games to languish 19th in the table.
After that kind of early season run Slade feels that 'the more to come policy' can be applied to his whole team, as well as Welsh.
Slade added: "I think there's better things to come from him and I think there's better things to come from the side to be honest.
"I don't think if you look underneath it and analyse it - and we will analyse it and pull it to bits - that we're not a million miles away."
