Yeovil Town manager Russell Slade has appealed to the team's frustrated fans to give him time to develop the club.
"There's nobody more frustrated than me. I work exceptionally hard at what I'm trying to do. I've got to build a football club," he told BBC Somerset.
Yeovil are not yet safe from relegation and were booed off the pitch after Saturday's 3-0 defeat at home to Crewe.
"There's lots of issues that need to be addressed on and off the field that we need to come to terms with," he added.
Slade feels that his team are paying the price for raised expectations, after reaching the play-off finals at Wembley last season and pushing for a play-off place for the first half of this campaign.
I want to be here, I want to turn this football club into one that's stable

"We can't get greedy," he said. "Success this season is going to be staying in League One.
"You ask Luton if they would be happy with that right now, or [fellow relegated side] Port Vale who have played at this level for 22 seasons.
"It's still an early stage, it's only our fifth season in the football league and we're still developing as a football club.
"There's still things we're learning from and have got to get better at and we're still there trying to establish ourselves, so we can't forget that."
The Yeovil manager signed a two-year contract extension in November 2007 to keep him in Somerset until 2011, and he says he is in it for the long haul.
"There's a lot of work ahead," he said.
"That's why I've signed a long-term deal - I want to be here, I want to turn this football club into one that's stable, one that can compete and one that can push on and improve."
