Yeovil striker Lloyd Owusu has revealed his relief after doctors confirmed that the leg injury he sustained against Crewe on Saturday is not a fracture.

The 31-year-old will now have to wait for the swelling to die down to find out the full extent of the injury.

He told the club website: "I had X-rays and scans and there is no break, which is good news."

The Ghana international is awaiting further treatment and so far has been unable to set a date for his return.

Owusu left the field on a stretcher towards the end of Saturday's 3-0 home defeat by Crewe, but Yeovil manager Russell Slade named him as one of the few players to win his approval.

"I thought Lloyd had put a shift in and won a remarkable amount of headers in the first period," said Slade after the match.
