Cort has scored just two goals in the last three seasons
Wycombe Wanderers have ended their interest in former Newcastle and Wolves striker Carl Cort.
Cort, 31, has made three appearances for the Chairboys in pre-season, and manager Peter Taylor has seen enough.
He told the club's website: "At the minute, I'm probably not going to do anything on that one.
"If he wants to carry on training with us he can do, but at the moment I'm not going to be taking that any further. I've got to go for certain things."
Cort once cost Newcastle £7m but his career was plagued by injuries.
Of Wycombe's injuries, Taylor told BBC Three Counties Radio: "Lewis Spence might be more serious than that. He might be a month to six weeks away.
"Lewis Hunt is a couple of weeks away from joining in with us so it makes him very doubtful for the first [League One] game."
