Mansour Assoumani started his career at French side Montpellier

Wrexham have concluded a deal to sign former Leeds United defender Mansour Assoumani on a 12-month contract.

Mali international Assoumani, known as Mani, was a non-contract signing at Wrexham late last season.

He played three games before a red card at Altrincham led to a three-match ban, meaning he missed the final games of the BLue Square Premier season.

But the 26-year-old, who started his career at Montpellier, had done enough to impress Dragons boss Dean Saunders.
