Wrexham have recruited Shaun Whalley after the attacking midfielder was released by Accrington Stanley.
The 20-year-old, who made his Football League debut in 2004 for Chester City, was one of 11 players released by Accrington at the end of the season.
Whalley, who scored against Wrexham when the clubs met in April, has also represented Mansfield and non-league outfits Runcorn and Whitton Albion.
"He's young, keen, quick and has goals in him," said manager Brian Little.
Whalley is Little's fourth signing of the summer as he seeks to build a side with attacking potential for next season's non-league trials.
Whalley follows strikers Simon Brown and Jefferson Louis and midfielder Paul Carden to the Racecourse.
