Wrexham have completed the signing of Trinidad & Tobago Under-21 international Josh Johnson. The right-sided midfielder, 24, must now return to Trinidad to obtain a work permit but no problems are anticipated as Johnson's wife is British.
Wrexham manager Denis Smith is hopeful that the player will return in time to be considered for the first game of the season at Wycombe on 5 August.
Carlos Edwards kept Johnson out of the Soca Warriors' World Cup squad.
But he is seen as former Wrexham man Edwards' heir apparent, having top-scored last season for the San Juan Jabloteh club - a team that produced ex-Dragon Hector Sam.
T&T World Cup star Dennis Lawrence is also on the books at the Racecourse.
