Wrexham Cup hero Ben Foster would love to return to the club next year. The keeper, 22, who starred in the 2-0 LDV Vans Trophy win over Southend at the Millennium Stadium, is on loan from Stoke until the end of the season.
"I've got another season left on my Stoke contract, but if I'm still third choice I'd love to come back," he said.
"To go from being sidelined at Stoke to winning a trophy in front of 40,000 fans at the Millennium Stadium is bizarre, but that's football for you!"
Foster says that the team were delighted to be able to deliver a memorable day for Wrexham's long-suffering fans.
"They've been through so much this season and it's just massive for them," he told BBC Sport Wales.
"It was the biggest day of most players' career and we were all up for it.
"There was an awesome atmosphere and now we can just savour it all."
