Tilson feels Wrexham edged final
Steve Tilson
Southend manager Steve Tilson admitted Wrexham deserved their 2-0 win in the LDV Vans Trophy final in Cardiff.

The Shrimpers lost by the same score to Blackpool in last year's final and he said: "I am obviously disappointed at losing 2-0 again.

"When you get to a final you want to win it, but it was a lot better performances than last year and I think they just edged it on the day.

"They took their chances and we didn't. That was the difference."

Now Tilson will shift his focus back to the League, and finishing in the top-three of League Two.

"We have got five league games left and promotion is our number one aim," he added.

"The one good thing is that we have got Leyton Orient on Friday and being a local derby that should be enough to get the players up for that game."
