Ridsdale says he has been in talks with four Football League clubs |
Former Leeds and Barnsley chairman Peter Ridsdale has admitted he has had talks with troubled League One club Wrexham over a possible buy-out. But he said he was unlikely to pursue a takeover, telling Radio Five Live's Sportsweek programme: "I'm talking to them but I think it's unlikely."
Ridsdale revealed he was in discussions with four Football League clubs and expected an announcement soon.
"I think I will be back in some shape or form very quickly," he added.
Wrexham went into administration in December and were docked 10 league points as a result, leaving them in danger of relegation.
Ridsdale has been looking to get back into football after handing over the Barnsley chairmanship to Gordon Shepherd on Christmas Eve.
