The fans walked past Alex Hamilton's home |
Wrexham football fans have staged a march past owner Alex Hamilton's house as part of their campaign to save the club. Supporters of the club travelled to Hale Barns, near Altrincham on Saturday to highlight their fight to stay at the Racecourse ground.
The fans say they have just nine games to play at the ground before they could be evicted.
The future of the club is uncertain after going into administration.
Marcus Whitfield from the Dismal Jimmies fanzine was one of the organisers of the march.
"Our message to Mr Hamilton is we want him to sell the football club to someone who cares about football," he said.
 | Our point is that the clock is ticking away so fast now |
"We would welcome anyone who comes into Wrexham Football Club that cares about the club and cares about keeping the football at the Racecourse.
"We want to build on any plans that anyone has got and build a future for Wrexham football club."
The future of the club remains uncertain after property developer Alex Hamilton revealed his plans to redevelop the Racecourse.
He has rejected several offers for the ground and in December the club was put into administration to avoid an Inland Revenue winding-up order over a 1m tax bill.
Fans are trying to stop the club from being evicted from the Racecourse |
However, Alex Hamilton is said to be in talks with a number of parties who are interested in buying the club.
The fans say they are anxious for the club to be sold to someone else.
"The clock is ticking away and we want people to take notice in the run up - there is just nine games left at the Racecourse and Alex Hamilton could evict us fro the Racecourse," said Mr Whitfield.
"We would have nowhere to play - nowhere to play next seasons games and would the football league kick us out as well?
"Our point is that the clock is ticking away so fast now and we have got less than six months to do something or for someone else to come and save Wrexham Football Club," he added.
