Carey feels hard done-by

Brian Carey says Wrexham should not have lost against Sheffield Wednesday.

The centre-back scored a goal at the Racecourse, but could not prevent the Dragons slipping to a 1-2 defeat.

"We're very disappointed, we felt we deserved something from the game," Carey told BBC Sport Wales.

"They came with a game plan to catch us on the break. We felt we did enough to overcome that, but failed to produce enough quality in the final third of the pitch."

The turning point of the game was when Shaun Pejic got injured
Wrexham manager Denis Smith
Carey's view was not totally shared by his manager, Denis Smith.

"Unlike a lot of teams, they (Sheffield) came here to try to play and they got the reward," said Smith.

"Having said that, I think a draw would have been a fair result.

"I think the turning point of the game was when Shaun Pejic got injured.

"That meant I had to change the shape of my team and that opened us up."
