Smith won Division Three manager of the Year |
Denis Smith has been named Division Three Manager of the Year. The Wrexham manager picked up the prestigious award from the League Managers Association on Monday.
Smith guided the Dragons straight back into Division Two after his side were relegated last season.
The 55-year-old beat Brian Talbot, manager of champions Rusden and Diamonds and Hartlepool's Mike Newell.

"I am absolutely flabbergasted. I was not expecting it, so I am really delighted," said Smith.
"Everyone said that we were the best team in the league, but were weren't because we did not finish as champions.
"But it is all about results. We went on a great run at the end of the season, so maybe that swayed it."
It is the second time that Smith has won the award, having lifted the title while in charge of York City in 1984.
"It is great to be rewarded, especially as it is from your fellow professionals."
