Elokobi joined Wolves from Colchester United in January

Wolves defender George Elokobi will not play again this season because of the serious knee injury he suffered during the 2-0 win at Ipswich last month.

Steve Kemp, head of Wolves' medical department, said: "George has damaged multiple ligaments in his knee.

"It's been scanned and we know some parts are damaged and others are torn or strained.

"We'll know more after the surgery but he is definitely out for the season and his target will be next pre-season."

Kemp added: "He's having the operation next week and the important thing for us is to get rid of all the fluid in the joint to ensure the surgeon can produce the best results."
