Mick McCarthy wants more terrace support for Andy Keogh
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is frustrated by sections of the Molineux crowd for turning against striker Andy Keogh.
Some supporters were calling for Keogh to be replaced by Freddy Eastwood during Saturday's 3-3 draw with QPR.
But McCarthy told BBC WM: "That's a direct insult to Andy Keogh, nothing less, nothing more.
"It's almost saying get him off and put Freddy on, but he's gone on to score two goals. Then the crowd responded and sang Keogh's name."
Top scorer Keogh's injury time strike at Molineux on Saturday - his second equaliser of the game - took him to 10 goals for the season.
McCarthy is also delighted with the form of former Gillingham winger Matt Jarvis after his return to full fitness, although he wishes his star wide player Michael Kightly was also available.
"I often wonder what it might have been like with Jarvis and Kightly on either wing," McCarthy said.
"But from Jarvis's introduction after his long-term injury he's been outstanding, once he got to full match fitness."
Kightly is unlikely to play any further part in Wolves' promotion push after having surgery on the ankle problem that has kept him out of league action since November.
