Darren Potter has started Wolves last two games |
Wolves midfielder Darren Potter turned down the chance to leave in January - to fight for his Molineux future. "Before the window, when Darren wasn't playing, I asked him if he wanted to go on the list," Wolves boss Mick McCarthy told the club's website.
"He said he didn't want to go anywhere and since then he's been brilliant.
"He wanted to fight for his place, he's shown that and played really well. He has deserved to play in recent weeks and has really stood out."
The 23-year-old former Liverpool reserve, a regular for most of last season and a big part of Wolves' revival over the second half of the season, lost his place at the end of August.
But, having since been used as a bench player, he has started Wolves' last two games.
