Wolves have terminated Chris Cornes' contract by mutual consent in the aftermath of the player testing positive for cocaine. The 19-year-old has almost completed a six-month Football Association ban after his positive test in February.
Wolves also suspended Cornes but vowed to stand by him and he continued to train with the squad.
But a Wolves spokesman said: "It is in the best interests of both parties the player pursues his career elsewhere."
