Former Woking manager Geoff Chapple will officially return to Kingfield on Monday as commercial manager - but insists he will stay in the office.
Chapple led Woking to their greatest league and cup moments in the 1990s but is now back to help raise funds.
He told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "My footballing days are well and truly over. My job now is to bring in money.
"I might be able to help their league position by getting in cash for the manager to buy one or two players."

"I have got a strong sales background. I've been well trained. Hopefully I can bring a lot to the job.
"I know things are difficult at the moment but I'm a supreme optimist. This is too good a club to languish in the doldrums."
