Pascal Chimbonda's proposed move from Wigan to Tottenham could still happen, according to the player's agent. The right-back, currently on duty with France at the World Cup, had expected to complete a �3m move to White Hart Lane by the end of last month.
But, with Wigan holding out for �6m, the 28-year-old looked to have been priced out of a move.
However, Willie McKay told BBC Sport: "It's not dead. Spurs have made a very good offer and now it's down to Wigan."
Chimbonda angered the Latics by submitting a written transfer request to manager Paul Jewell immediately after their last-day defeat to Arsenal at Highbury.

That prompted chairman Dave Whelan, who signed Chimbonda for �500,000 from Bastia last summer, to place a �6m asking price on the defender, with Jewell insisting that he "will not go on the cheap. That is the price and we will not let him go for less".
However, McKay insists the club should reconsider Tottenham's bid.
"For a player that was bought for only �500,000 eight months ago, it is a terrific offer," he told BBC Sport.
"Pascal is 28 now and when a manager gives you his word that he won't stand in your way if a big club comes in for you, then you expect to leave.
"That's the situation as it stands. But Wigan hold his contract and it is all down to them now."
