Weymouth will issue a statement on Monday regarding the proposed takeover of the Blue Square Premier club.

Chief executive Gary Calder countered reports suggesting director Dave Higson had decided to end his involvement with the consortium.

He told BBC Radio Solent: "We are still talking to Mr Higson and a number of others about joining."

Prior to Christmas, Calder announced an agreement with majority shareholder Malcolm Curtis had been reached.
