Hill had taken Weymouth to seventh in the Conference |
Weymouth have sacked manager Garry Hill and assistant Kevin Hales shortly after announcing a major restructuring operation, Radio Solent reports. Weymouth are seventh in the Conference after finishing top of Conference South last season.
Hill told BBC Radio Solent: "I'm stunned, I loved it at Weymouth, the supporters have been great to us.
"Take nothing away from the chairman, he's been very good to me and Kevin Hales and the players."
The Terras Board refused to comment on the departures of Hill and Hales.
But in a statement on their website, chairman Martyn Harrison said the changes were being implemented as a consequence of an on-going review he had conducted at the club.
"It will be a painful time for us as it is likely that there will be changes in the squad as well as some personnel, at The Wessex," said Harrison.
"I appreciate the irony of these changes coming at a time when we are enjoying success but it is imperative that achievements are delivered in a sustainable manner."
A news conference at the Wessex Stadium has been called for Wednesday morning at 1100 GMT.
