Martyn Harrison has lost his nerve at the key moment in the season. I appreciate the cash he has put in but it is embarrasing to blow out half way through the season. If we had made the play offs and then just failed to get into the league then he could bow out feeling he had given it his best shot. When you are already in for £2.5m, what's another £400,000 if it might bring increased funding of being a League 2 side.

i think gary hill and kevin hales are one of the best if not the best managegment teams weymouth football club has ever seen. they had the commmiment and drive to take weymouth into the football league and high places and we want them back. martin harrison has done alot for the club but he jumped in to quick last tuesday and that shows a man who makes rash decisions with out thinking and should have taken it more slowley. the fans at weymouth need to pull together now and put a rally call round the whole town to get one of the biggest crowds ever for the next game (6500) and that will show the whole of the footballing country that this football club isnt about money its about the passion of the game.

I think it is absolutely diabolical. I have supported Weymouth continuously since 1987 at home games and most years since then have followed them away and never in those years have we had such a brilliant season as last season and my dream was to see Weymouth in the 1st round of the F.A. Cup, which came true last season also. To me the most atmospheric games were the away 1st Round F.A. Cup game at Nottingham Forest and this year's 1st Round Replay at Bury. Unless these decisions (the sackings)are reversed I cannot see good times ahead for Weymouth FC. I can only hope that there are some rich Weymouth fans around to rescue us!

The decline of Weymouth football club over the last twenty-years has been very sad. For a club that played in the top league of non-league football for forty years, first in the Southern Premier League & then in the Alliance Premier(amalgamation of Southern & Northern Premier leagues)it is quite unbelieveable. Particularly when one sees the success of Yeovil. Up to 1989 Weymouth were equal to Yeovil in many ways. The league positions of both clubs over 40 years could be described as similiar, the head-to-head matches between the clubs were neck & neck & the number of FA Cup First Round appearances were similiar. Only on the number of Football League scalps in the FA Cup were Yeovil more successful than the Terras. So why has the club continued to decline & when it finally seemed to have a good manager, compared to all the previous dross that had run the club. I find it impossible to work out what is the answer, but Weymouth should be in the Conference National & to be in the Conference South competing against the likes of Dorchester would be a failure.

Just listened to Garry Hills interview what a top man. We can but live in hope that one day he will return. He is Weymouth !!!!

The Chairman has let the club down big style!! He should have gone.
You can't be a Chelsea on his money, everyone could see the writting on the wall from day 1!!! As a Yeovil fan this has made kicked 2007 off in great style. How long will the re-building take? I don't care

I think that it is disgusting. Martyn Harrison preaches that he wants the best for WFC and that he wants them to be a successful club. He brought in Gary & Kevin asked them to turn the club around and make it a success. In two years Gary & Kevin took them from Conference South to the Conference proper. Had a great cup run when drawn against Notts Forest. Took average crowds from 900 to 2500 all in 22 months. How much more successful does he want it to be. Martyn Harrison said that when he invested in the club "He did not expect or want any return on his money." It is such a pity that he has the controlling share of the club otherwise perhaps the other big Sponsers (Park Engineering) & perhaps the fans could have purchased the club. Gary we are sorry for what has happened to you, it's not fair mate and you will be sorely missed. BRING BACK IAN RIDLEY & GET RID OF MARTYN HARRISON.

Ashame for the two as Gary Hill is good managr. But to be fair you could see this happening from the moment they splashed the cash in the summer. Hornchurch and Telford all over again me thinks!1 Just shows clubs should be run well like Exeter!!

The fact that it has come to this and at this critical stage in the season, beggars belief. Not only GH and KH but also the entire 1st team players!! Whilst his candour is to be applauded it is difficult to see how the chairman can ever be trusted again to do the best for the Terras. If his personal venture was not sustainable from the outset, why pursue the course of action he did? It is an awful state of affairs which may well taint the club for years to come no matter what happens from here on in. It is indeed a sad day for the Terras and the town of Weymouth as a whole. I have watched the Terras home and away for nearly 40 years. This is the saddest footballing day I have ever experienced.
