Etherington is the second-longest serving player at West Ham |
West Ham winger Matthew Etherington has pledged his future to the club by signing a new contract which will run until 2012. The 26-year-old began his career at Peterborough before joining Tottenham in 2001, and moving to West Ham two years later.
"There have been a lot of ups and downs for me personally and on the pitch but the club has stood by me," he said.
"I'll always be grateful for that. It's why I've committed my future here."

He is now the second longest-serving player at the club, after Christian Dailly.
