Etherington was a key player for West Ham last season |
West Ham's England U21 winger Matty Etherington has signed a new four-year contract, the club has announced. Etherington, 23, joined from Tottenham two summers ago, having started his career at Peterborough, and was vital to last season's promotion campaign.
"Winning promotion was unbelievable and I wanted to pledge my long-term future to the club," he told the Daily Mirror.
"Now I am ten times the player I was when I was at Tottenham, I want to show everyone I can play at this level."
