Thomas joined Charlton after failing to make the grade at Arsenal
West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of former Charlton Athletic and Portsmouth winger Jerome Thomas.
The 26-year-old, who was a free agent after being released by Pompey in the summer, has agreed a two-year contract.
Manager Roberto Di Matteo told BBC WM: "I think he will give us something a bit different to what we already have.
"He's a quick player with Premier League experience. He will add a bit of width to our team and he will make us more dangerous going forward."
Thomas, who spent time on trial with Hull and Wolves, is back in training after suffering a hamstring injury whilst playing for Albion's local rivals in a friendly.
"He's fully fit, but in terms of match fitness, I don't think he's quite ready for 90 minutes yet," added Di Matteo.
Thomas started his career with Arsenal, and went on to have a successful spell with Charlton, before spending last year on loan with Portsmouth.
