Brunt said in June he was happy to stay at Hillsborough |
West Bromwich Albion have signed left-winger Chris Brunt from Sheffield Wednesday in a 3m deal. The Northern Ireland international, 22, has secured a four-year contract and the deal includes 500,000 of performance-related add-ons.
Baggies manager Tony Mowbray said: "Chris is a player whose ambitions match our own.
"He wants to play at the top level and we're delighted he's chosen our club as a vehicle to hopefully take him there."
Mowbray added: "Chris has undoubted, proven quality at this level and brings a cultured left foot to the squad.

"He will hopefully supply plenty of ammunition for our strikers and chip in with a few goals himself.
"He's a welcome addition to the squad and will increase competition for places in an area where we feel we already have a lot of quality."
Brunt only had a year left on his Wednesday contract and was in talks after the Owls rejected a bid from Fulham in June.
But negotiations broke down at the end of July between Brunt and the Hillsborough club due to what the club say were excessive wage demands.
