Brunt moved to Wednesday from Middlesbrough in 2004

The 22-year-old Northern Ireland international has one year remaining on his Hillsborough contract.

"Everyone has their price, but Fulham's offer is a long way short of what we feel he's worth," chief executive Kaven Walker told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"This offer was discussed with Chris on Thursday, and talks are continuing to keep him at Hillsborough."

Brunt had told BBC Sport earlier this month that he was happy to stay with Wednesday - and wanted to play at the highest level with them.

"Unless the club want to sell me I'll be staying," he said.
