Watford have ended the contract of Sierra Leone international midfielder Al Bangura by mutual consent.
Bangura, 21, made national news in January 2008 when he won the right to stay in the UK after an appeal against a deportation order.
He made 41 appearances in 2005/06 as Watford gained promotion to the Premier League, earning him the club's young player-of-the-season award.
Bangura ended last season on loan at League One side Brighton.
