Watford have signed Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster on a season-long loan deal. Foster joined United in the summer from Stoke after impressing in a loan spell at Wrexham and boss Sir Alex Ferguson wants him to gain more experience.
"There was lots of competition from other clubs for Ben, but we've managed to get him," Hornets manager Adrian Boothroyd told his club's website.
"It gives us strength in depth in a key position, where competition is vital."
