Ibehre has scored 11 goals in all competitions this season.
Walsall forward Jabo Ibehre is hopeful of being offered terms to spend a second season at the Banks's Stadium.
The 26-year-old former Leyton Orient striker has scored 10 League One goals for the Saddlers after his free transfer in the summer.
"Obviously you want to do the best you can and see what happens - it'd be nice to get another contract here and progress," Ibehre told BBC WM.
"It's been a good season. I've enjoyed it very much, moving from London."
London-born Ibehre has proved to be a good foil for ex-England striker Michael Ricketts and rising talent Troy Deeney, the trio mustering 30 league goals between them.
And he has nothing but praise for the new management team of Chris Hutchings and Martin O'Connor, who arrived at Walsall in the middle of January.
"They've worked with players at the top, and they've brought a good infrastructure to the team," he noted.
"We're working hard, everyone's on it and disciplined, much more professional, and it's showing in the performances."
Ibehre could miss the final game of the season, at home to Oldham, after suffering a hamstring injury shortly after scoring the winner at MK Dons last weekend.
