Walsall have completed the signing of former Aston Villa striker Stefan Moore after he impressed on a week's trial. The 24-year-old was released by QPR in January, and Saddlers boss Richard Money admits he is happy to bring back Birmingham-born Moore to the Midlands.
He said: "Stefan is a very intelligent frontman. I have known him for a long time and know what he's capable of.
"His movement is excellent and he will get into the right positions to score goals."
Moore started his career at Villa alongside younger brother Luke, who has just joined Walsall's neighbours West Bromwich Albion on loan.
They were both part of the Villa team who saw off an Everton team including Wayne Rooney to win the FA Youth Cup in 2002.
After making 30 first team appearances for Villa, Moore went on to enjoy loan spells at Chesterfield, Millwall and Leicester City before joining QPR in the 2005 close season.
Moore is available to make his Walsall debut at Luton on Saturday.
