Kevin Betsy played with Tommy Mooney at Wycombe |
Walsall have signed front man Kevin Betsy from Bristol City on loan for the remainder of the season. Betsy, 29, is a long-term target of boss Richard Money and will cover for the potential loss of Michael Ricketts, whose contract has come to an end.
"He's very athletic. He's got pace and can play down the middle or wide on the right," Money told BBC WM.
"He'll give us experience and quality, as well as some flexibility for the rest of the season."

The much-travelled Betsy, who had a month on loan at Walsall's League One rivals Yeovil earlier this season, began his career at Woking before going to Fulham. He also had a spell with Wycombe where he played with current Saddlers striker Tommy Mooney.
He is set for his debut in Walsall's League One game at Carlisle on Saturday.
The Saddlers are in need of strengthening their options up front with Ricketts' future far from certain.
The former England striker's loan at The Banks's Stadium has expired and the club have hit an impasse over negotiations to keep him.

Money added: "We have been in some discussions with Michael and his agent.
"Obviously he has an injury at the moment and we want to wait for that to clear up before doing anything.
"His short-term future is open-ended and we're all comfortable with that."
Ricketts has scored five goals in his second spell back at Bescot but has missed the last five games because of an Achilles problem.
