Moore would swap games for points

Moore wants to see his side claim a play-off place come May.

Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore says he would swap his games in hand for points as his side were left frustrated by a 0-0 draw with Leyton Orient.

Rovers sit outside the play-off places in League One but do have two games in hand on Oldham, who are sixth.

Moore told BBC Radio Merseyside: "In three or four weeks we're all going to be level [on games played].

"So the games in hand are nothing for me. It's points on the board, that's what you need."

The Rovers boss admits he would rather be in the position of some of his rivals as his side's games in hand are not the easiest.

"I'd rather be sat were Oldham are at the moment. It's alright having two games in hand but you have got to win them.

"The games in hand we have are against Colchester and Peterborough and are right easy games," said Moore.

After only picking up a point against lowly Leyton Orient at the weekend, Moore says his side should have taken more care in the final third of the pitch.

"When you've got 10 men behind the ball it's hard," Moore continued.

"But you've got to be patient. When we were patient, and got in the right areas, it was just picking out the right ball.

"We needed a break and if we had of got the break we could have won by three or four.

"But we haven't. We're disappointed we haven't won but we haven't lost and we've another clean sheet."
