Tranmere's play-off hopes suffered a setback as they were held to a goalless draw by lowly Leyton Orient.

Ed Sonko, Antony Kay and Andy Taylor all missed the target with speculative early efforts for Tranmere before Sonko also headed wide on the half hour.

The closest Orient came was Jason Demetriou's fine effort on 40 minutes.

Steve Jennings and Ian Moore failed to trouble Jamie Jones as Tranmere went in search of a breakthrough with Jennings also hitting the post late on.
