Modric joined Spurs for 15m from Dinamo Zagreb in April 2008
Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric is set to return to first-team action against Wolves on Saturday.
He played for 70 minutes of a training ground friendly with Grays Athletic on Tuesday, his first game since injuring his leg against Birmingham in August.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp said on Friday: "It's a bit early to start him but he'll be involved against Wolves."
Modric told the Spurs website: "I can't wait. The last three months were hard but it's behind me now."
The Croatian added: "I did not feel any pain and that is the most important thing. It is great to be back and I am happy. It is a relief after three months."
Modric suffered the injury during the 2-1 win over Birmingham on 29 August and had to be withdrawn at half-time at White Hart Lane, with subsequent X-rays revealing that he had sustained a fracture to his right fibula.
As well as ruling him out of action for Spurs, the injury also saw Modric miss four key World Cup qualifying matches for Croatia, including the 5-1 defeat to England at Wembley, as they failed to qualify for the 2010 finals in South Africa.
Spurs have fared better in his absence and currently lie fourth in the Premier League, and Modric is extremely positive about rejoining a side he feels are on the up.
"We have a great team, a great squad, lots of quality players and that is good for the club," he said. "We have plenty of options and that's positive. I hope we can keep it going."
