Mido missed out against Everton, Man Utd and Arsenal |
Egypt striker Mido's permanent move to Tottenham could be at risk after he developed a new injury problem. The striker has missed the last three games with a groin injury but coach Martin Jol has now revealed Mido is suffering from a knee problem.
Mido was unable to train on Wednesday and Jol said: "He couldn't even do a fitness test, it was too painful on his knee - not his groin.
"At first it was his groin but he came back and now it's his knee."
The 22-year-old is nearing the end of his 18-month loan spell at White Hart Lane from Roma.
Jol has always maintained that Mido must stay fit to earn any real chance of securing a permanent move to north London.
But Mido said: "Tottenham are still negotiating to keep me and I hope for that.
"But if it doesn't work out then it's not the end of the world, because if I'm not here next season I'll be playing at another club."
